{"id":15562,"date":"2024-08-05T10:02:39","date_gmt":"2024-08-05T08:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arthubcopenhagen.net\/?post_type=event&#038;p=15562"},"modified":"2024-08-07T13:48:24","modified_gmt":"2024-08-07T11:48:24","slug":"keynote-lecture-cally-spooner-a-hypothesis-of-resistance","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"http:\/\/arthubcopenhagen.net\/en\/event\/keynote-lecture-cally-spooner-a-hypothesis-of-resistance\/","title":{"rendered":"AHC x Supervising Artistic &amp; Practice-based Research : Publishing for Urgency : Cally Spooner"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Over the course of one week in August, AHC will \u2013 in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, \u00a0Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen and PASS (Centre for Practice-based Art Studies at Copenhagen University) \u2013 co-host an international symposium focused on the field of artistic research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final public event in relation to the PhD symposium will be the keynote lecture <em>A Hypothesis of Resistance<\/em> by Cally Spooner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A Hypothesis of Resistance<\/em>&nbsp;is a series of five essays on \u201cperformance\u201d by artist Cally Spooner (b. 1983, UK). In each, Spooner holds and examines temporalities that defy and eclipse the standardizations which drive individual and societal bodies to perform toward an entirely metric-oriented future. Spooner is currently PhD research fellow at O\u2014Overgaden, in association with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Copenhagen (2021\u201324).
