Community engagement is central to Percy Nii Nortey\u2019s artistic approach, as he actively involves local people in the creative process. Through projects that repurpose second-hand fabrics\u2014 distributing them, collecting them after use, and transforming them into artworks\u2014he highlights the significance of labor and its role in society.
His work has been featured in major cultural events such as the Dekoloniale in Berlin, Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels, Chale Wote Art Festival in Accra, and the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra. He has participated in residencies at the Dekoloniale Festival in Germany, Saari Residence in Finland, and perfocraZe International Artist Residency in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wintanworks is an artist-in-residence and exchange programme \u2013 a collaboration between Art Hub Copenhagen (AHC) in Denmark and the blaxTARLINES KUMASI collective in Ghana. This residency programme provides two artists \u2013 one from each country \u2013 with the opportunity to \u2018swap\u2019 locations for one month, each of them thereby spending time in another art scene and another cultural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
