Curator

Program

Louise Banke (b. 1976) is a trained art historian who works as a curator at the Kastrupgård Collection – Museum for Modern Graphics (Kastrupgårdsamlingen). Recently, she has curated and written the research text for KOLOSSAL – Graphics in large formats – an exhibition that reveals the different methods graphic artists use to scale up their works. The exhibition shows large graphic works by more than 46 different Danish and international artists.

In addition to the curatorial work, Louise Banke teaches a broad target group in graphic art – both practical and theoretical. Until now, she has worked more than 10 years with the involvement of artists in urban development – in particular playgrounds designed by contemporary artists. Last year, she published the book Verdens Lege at Gyldendal.
