Once again, Art Hub Copenhagen has joined forces with the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA)<\/a> to offer four artists a four-week residency at the Academic Guest House in New York<\/a>. The focus of the residency is printmaking and the expansion of the participants\u2019 networks in an international environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As part of Summerworks, the artists in residence will have access to the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, which offers introductory courses in various printmaking techniques and the workshop\u2019s specialised facilities. Residents will have 24-hour access to a shared studio at EFA, who will also facilitate excursions and studio visits with external art professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Residents are expected to participate in EFA\u2019s program, which includes an open studio event. In addition to the stay in New York, residents will be required to attend two-three preparatory meetings at AHC on Thoravej in Copenhagen. These meetings will take place in May and June 2025. Here, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet one another, as well as meet EFA online. Curator and project manager, Marie Braad Larsen will help coordinate and make preparations for the residency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n ~ <\/p>\n\n\n\n WHO CAN APPLY? <\/p>\n\n\n\n AHC highly values diversity. We therefore encourage everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation and identity to apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Summerworks is open to all professional artists who are based in Denmark and are eligible for an ESTA visa (you are responsible for applying for an ESTA and it is mandatory to have your own travel insurance). <\/p>\n\n\n\n The following requirements apply to the applicant: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Experience with traditional graphics and printmaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Interest in expanding your network by participating in the EFA program, including curatorial, studio and gallery visits, study trips and social events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Attendance at two or three meetings in May and June prior to the residency (partly in Copenhagen and partly online). <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Availability at least from 1 to 31 July to be based in New York. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Please note that it is not possible to apply for Summerworks if you have already participated in AHC\u2019s Art Hub Residency or Residency To-Go within the past three years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n ~ <\/p>\n\n\n\n SUMMERWORKS 2025 INCLUDES: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Coverage of travel expenses (round-trip flights CPH\/NYC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Accommodation in Academic Guest House in individual apartments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 24-hour access to a 34 m2 shared studio at EFA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Free access to EFA\u2019s Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop during working hours (Wed-Sun 12:00\u201319:00).
