On September 17, join us for the return of Partly, including a rare live performance of Conlon Nancarrow\u2019s player piano music by Wolfgang Heisig and a poetry reading by Tan Lin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nancarrow\u2019s beloved Studies for Player Piano are very seldom presented live, and Wolfgang Heisig is one of the few musicians who performs these works, using a push-up pianola. Heisig has spent his life dedicated to pianola music and to Nancarrow\u2019s music in particular\u2014this will be a very special event. Probably your only chance to hear this incredible music live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tan Lin is the author of many books of poetry and fiction that explore digital culture, plagiarism, ambience, distraction, memoir, and paratext. For thirty years, his work has been consistently challenging and widely influential (especially among younger experimental-leaning poets). This is his first reading in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
