Applications are now open for the Exchange Residency: Copenhagen-Munich 2027<\/em>. In a partnership between AHC, the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich and Goethe-Institut D\u00e4nemark, this programme offers a Copenhagen based artist a three-month residency in Munich, Germany. The deadline is Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 11.59 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Exchange Residency<\/em> takes place from 7 July to 29 September 2027 in the historic building Villa Waldberta by Lake Starnberg about 40 kilometres south of Munich City center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme focuses on artistic development, knowledge sharing, and professional networking, offering the artist time and space to develop new work, do research, and build professional contacts within the Munich art scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The residency offers a monthly stipend of 1,300 euros, a shared studio space and an individual apartment at Villa Waldberta. Moreover, the programme includes professional sparring, introduction to the Munich art scene, and a public presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHO CAN APPLY?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Exchange Residency: Copenhagen-Munich<\/em> is open to professional visual artists who reside in Copenhagen, Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, you must hold an MFA or comparable professional experience, and at the start of the residency, you must have completed your education at least three years ago or have worked professionally for a minimum of three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not possible to apply as a duo or collective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
