Do you want to help us developing the framework for contemporary artists.? Are you passionate about supporting professional communities for artists, or about producing professional events for the art field? Then you might be one of Art Hub Copenhagen’s new student interns.
We are looking for both a residency intern, who will help run our artist community, and a production intern, who will help produce AHC’s many activities.
RESIDENCY INTERN
As a residency intern, you will assist us in running and developing our professional community at Thoravej 29, which consists of artists and curators in various residencies as well as PhD programmes.
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to strengthen and develop the frameworks that support practising artists in exploring and experimenting with different formats and disciplines.
In close collaboration with AHC’s Head of Residencies, you will, among other things:
- Research, organise, categorise, and prepare material in connection with Open Calls.
- Assist in organising excursions and planning programmes for shared events.
PRODUCTION INTERN
As a production intern, you will help plan and run AHC’s events, performances, and public viewings at Thoravej 29. You should therefore expect varying working hours.
In return, during the internship you will gain experience in event production in the art field, as well as in coordinating with curators, artists, technicians, and a wide range of other partners.
You will also gain experience in problem-solving and in handling the complexity involved in producing art events, and you will experience how great it feels when everything falls into place.
In close collaboration with AHC’s Producer, you will, among other things:
- Plan and organise events, including drawing up production plans, liaising with partners, and coordinating with suppliers.
- Coordinate between participants and keep stakeholders updated.
- Run live events and media productions.
ABOUT YOU
We welcome applications from students at universities, art schools, and production-focused programmes. We arrange a placement of 5–6 months with a weekly working time of a minimum of 3 days per week, which can be arranged to fit your studies.
It is not essential to us that you have a lot of experience. However, it is essential that you have a genuine interest in and knowledge of the art field and contemporary art. In addition, you should be someone who thrives when working across different tasks and with many different people.
We ask you to send us:
a brief CV
and a reflection on how an internship at AHC can help you achieve your goals (max. 1 A4 page).
The application deadline is Tuesday, 3 November at 12:00 noon.
Send your application to ansogning@arthubcopenhagen.dk, and write either “residency intern” or “production intern” in the subject line, depending on which internship you are applying for.
Do you have questions about either of the positions? Contact us at ansogning@arthubcopenhagen.dk.
We look forward to hearing from you!
