Come and join us for a long table dinner on November 12th, when Art Hub Copenhagen, Meyers and Thoravej 29 invite you to a mushroom dinner. The evening will feature a mushroom menu presented by Langar, Meyers restaurant at Thoravej 29, accompanied by a mushroom-inspired artistic and cultural program.
Autumn is the season of mushrooms. In the moist soil of private gardens, parks and forests, they sprout in large numbers at this time. Several of them are edible and highly sought after by many, but in addition to the fact that humans have eaten mushrooms since their origin as art, mushrooms are also a mythological, almost spiritual entity that people around the world have depicted and used in cultural contexts for thousands of years.
We delve into all this when visual artist Silas Inoue talks about his fascination and use of mycelium in his works. We will hear about Funga Farm, which produces mushrooms in the middle of Copenhagen, and delve into the cultural history of mushrooms together with Karsten Wind Meyhoff, author and co-founder of the publishing house A Mock Book.
The ticket price is 150 DKK and covers both dinner and program. See the full program below.
