14.10.22 – 06.11.22
VEGA LAB, Lille VEGA & Ideal Bar
Enghavevej 40, 1674 Copenhagen
Exhibition, performance programme and talks
EXHIBITION
Two of the works installed at VEGA are by Nat Bloch Gregersen and Sóley Ragnarsdóttir who respectively investigate the codes of spaces; the meeting, the senses and the expectations, as a light choreography with elements and a dancing, many-headed, picturesque welcome, while Mark Tholander presents a three-channel video work, where musicians and animators playfully intertwine in the work’s audiovisual form and expression. The works could be seen from 14 October.
TALK
On October 25, a Free Lunch Series was held with Mark Tholander, one of the exhibiting artists, at Ideal Bar.
PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME
The performance programme on 5 and 6 November brought together a large and diverse team of Danish visual and performance artists who, in a strict concept, created a jumble of sculptural situations. The 16 works occupied the floor of Lille Vega in an investigation of the possibilities of the live format between media, bodies and materials. The dialogue between the art forms is completed with closing concerts each evening. Here, Excelsior presents its current album Fit For Fiction about mythology and female stereotypes and a sculptural collaboration with visual artist Heidi Nicolaisen, which on November 6 will have an additional performative dimension.
