Rose Tytgat (BE)
Project coordinator, AHC
Rose Tytgat is an artist and project coordinator at Art Hub Copenhagen, where she specializes in establishing and managing international projects, with a special focus on exploring sustainability and digitalization in the context of contemporary art. The projects she worked on include the French-Nordic residency called “Aurora”, the 60th Venice Biennale, the Attention After Technology project, the European “S+T+ARTS: Repairing the Present” collaboration, and The Nordic Alliance of Artists’ Residencies on Climate Action.
Rose also works as a transmedia artist under the alias “Kiral”. As Kiral, she investigates the connection between reality and imagination to challenge their binary conception and the hierarchy commonly attributed to them. Her recent projects include, among others, sculptures that translate sound into tactile vibrations for deaf individuals and children, smells that are olfactory interpretation of existing text and visuals, a speculative installation exploring the social/economic/political entanglements of memory through transhumanism, and a “real fake” pop-up shop selling products and services derived from fake news. Her past exhibitions include showcases at Folkemødet, Musée d’art et d’histoire de Genève, Copenhagen Contemporary Studio, Mons Memorial Museum, Distortion and Face B.
