Bus trip to Vordingborg & Næstved: Michiel Ceulers, Finn Reinbothe, Nanna Abell, Fredrik Tydén, Magnus Andersen etc.

Come with us on a bus trip to Southern Zealand, when Flanders resident Michiel Ceulers presents his artistic practice and new work produced for the very first exhibition titled Sometimes you’re in, sometimes you’re out at ORTHUNGA – Vordingborg’s brand new exhibition space, run by Torben Ribe and Maiken Bent.

After the introduction to the duo exhibition with Ceulers and local artist Finn Reinbothe, the bus will continue for a visit at Nanna Abell and Fredrik Tydén’s studio. Final stop will be at Rønnebæksholm for the opening of Magnus Andersen’s exhibition Damdramaer.

PROGRAM

9.45: Meet up by the bus. Pick-up location: The corner between Tietgensgade and Kvægtorvsgade by DGI Byen.
10.00: Bus leaves for Vordingborg.
11.15: Arriving at ORTHUNGA in Vordingborg.
11.30-12.30: Torben Ribe and Maiken Bent introduce ORTHUNGA and Michiel Ceulers and Finn Reinbothe talk about the exhibition.
12.30-13.00: Lunch from Bogø Brød.
13.15-14.15: Studiovisit and coffee with Nanna Abell and Fredrik Tydén.
14.45-17.00: Rønnebæksholm – opening of Magnus Andersen’s exhibition Damdramaer.
17.00: Bus returning to Copenhagen.
18.00: Arriving in Copenhagen at DGI byen.

ABOUT MICHIEL CEULERS
Michiel Ceulers’ (1986, Belgium) paintings have a focus on being foremost objects. They embody sculptural and tactile qualities. His imagery explores the spaces between hardcore abstraction and mundane figurative motifs.

Michiel Ceulers was awarded with the Gaverprijs and nominated for the Prix Jeune Peinture. His work was shown in exhibitions at Museum of Contemporary Art, Santa Barbara, M HKA, Antwerp, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Castilla y León, Kunstmusem Den Haag, Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

Michiel is part of AHC's program Flanders, a program that invites one Flemish artist to join the Art Hub Residency in Copenhagen each year. The residency allows an exchange between the Danish and the Flemish art scene.

ABOUT ORTHUNGA
ORTHUNGA is a new exhibition platform in Vordingborg. It exhibits contemporary art connected to the local area in dialogue with the international art scene. ORTHUNGA is run by Torben Ribe and Maiken Bent.
