On September 17, join us for the return of Partly, including a rare live performance of Conlon Nancarrow’s player piano music by Wolfgang Heisig and a poetry reading by Tan Lin.
Nancarrow’s beloved Studies for Player Piano are very seldom presented live, and Wolfgang Heisig is one of the few musicians who performs these works, using a push-up pianola. Heisig has spent his life dedicated to pianola music and to Nancarrow’s music in particular—this will be a very special event. Probably your only chance to hear this incredible music live.
Tan Lin is the author of many books of poetry and fiction that explore digital culture, plagiarism, ambience, distraction, memoir, and paratext. For thirty years, his work has been consistently challenging and widely influential (especially among younger experimental-leaning poets). This is his first reading in Copenhagen.
Seriously, do not miss this event or you will regret it.
