bluestockings (bs) : is a collaborative platform and partnership between art historian and curator Karen Vestergaard Andersen (DK) and curator Helen Nishijo Andersen (DK/JP). (bs) forms a knowledge and practice based community in contemporary art centered around critical ecofeminism, practices of solidarity, spirituality and civil rights activism in a transcultural perspective.
Latest projects: Kinship Across Geographies – Foregrounding Feminist Ecologies in Denmark and Japan, 2024. Ongoing: Transnational network project Kinship Ecologies, 2024-2026. Upcoming: Seance Machine, a series of exhibitions, acts, events, meetings and smaller publications. Traversing the realms of intersectional feminist histories across geographies, the artistic program centers queer archival reawakenings, and spiritual and digital sensibilities in transformative artistic practices today. The program is initiated with the exhibition Disappearing Body – Becoming Tsujimura taking place at HEIRLOOM – Center for Art and Archive.
