27DAGE is the name of an exhibition in AHC’s three studios on Halmtorvet, all of which have windows facing the street.

Each studio is curated by an artist-run exhibition venue: SOL (Nexø), Bizarro (Copenhagen) and the nomadic art institution f.eks. (Aalborg). The exhibitions will exist side by side and in their own way activate the three spaces facing the street in the form of site-specific installations and interventions. The exhibitions can be experienced from the street around the clock, and it will also be possible to see parts of the exhibitions from inside at selected times.

Bizarro displayed a work by artist Mickael Marman made specifically for the space. SOL invited artist Melanie Kitti to exhibit in their space and f.eks. took over the space as an ad hoc “Office Space”, where they conducted research, interviews and events during the exhibition period.

From f.eks.’s first “publishing moment”.

With the exhibition, AHC will support the many Danish artist-run exhibition venues that continuously create exhibition programs and events, often with a focus on younger Danish artists and their works. With 27DAGE, three exhibition venues got a temporary showcase in the middle of Copenhagen.

The three exhibition locations participating in 27DAGE was chosen as they together represent both the stationary exhibition spaces and the more nomadic constructions, in addition they are spread geographically across the country. AHC wants to continuously invite artist-run places into different contexts in order to support the many facets and practices that can be experienced locally and nationally.

With 27DAGE it is the second time that AHC invites young artists to exhibit in the area around Halmtorvet. The first time was with the exhibition Dette er en kødby, where nine artists exhibited works in the autumn of 2021 in shops and restaurants around the meat packing district in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

The exhibitions ran for 27 days from 1 February – 27 February 2022.

Throughout the entire exhibition period, you could experience the exhibition around the clock from the windows at AHC.
