Supper House (SG)
Artist run exhibition space
Supper House is a creative drawing room where art, design, and fashion intertwine through interdisciplinary exploration. With a distinct vision, our aim is to be a space dedicated to initiating meaningful conversations. By merging various disciplines and industries, we seek to foster new ways of seeing. This core objective guided the inception of Supper House, fueled by a desire to dismantle the prevalent silo mentality in Singapore.
Conceived as a sanctuary for artists to showcase their works, we hope to share developments, and articulate ideas. We prioritize creating a conducive environment for artists to engage with their peers and the broader public. We believe that meaningful dialogues with creatives from diverse corners of the art and design community can spark fresh ideas and provide novel approaches to refining their crafts.
The name “Supper House” is inspired by the communal tradition of supper, where family and friends gather to share meals and engage in conversations. This act of coming together for supper symbolizes the nourishment of both the body and spirit, underscoring the significance of shared moments in various aspects of life. It signifies a moment to offer sustenance, whether through a meal or a shared artistic experience, fostering a deep sense of fulfillment and connection.
Supper House is founded and run by Ashley Chiam.
