Liza Ho (MY)
Co-founder and Manager of The Zhongshan Building
Liza was born and raised in Guatemala and made Kuala Lumpur her home since 2005 after obtaining her BA in Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney. She has over 15 years of experience in exhibition-making, curatorial processes, artist management, sales, and gallery operations in Malaysia and Southeast Asia when she was part of KL’s pioneering gallery, Valentine Willie Fine Art. In 2017, she also co-founded The Zhongshan Building, a heritage regeneration project which today is a cluster of creative tenants, made up of graphic designers, artists, musicians, and artisans, forming an exciting and evolving arts and research hub. She was critical in the creative development of the community and also the restoration of the building. In 2019, she launched The Back Room within the building as an alternative space for intimate exhibition that fosters new opportunities and approaches for collaborations.
