AHC x Skitse : Art Drive to Falster

18 August 2024 10.00 AM - 06.30 PM
Art Hub Copenhagen Halmtorvet 27, 1700 København V

Join us when we take the bus south to experience the group exhibition Sammenbrud at Falster's new exhibition venue Ved Skoven. Collapse (sammenbrud) is a recurring theme both formally and figuratively in the works of the eight artists. They are located outside in the countryside and will be affected by wind and weather during the exhibition period of three months. The participating artists are: Kristoffer Akselbo, Jóhan Martin Christiansen, Kåre Frang, Marianne Hesselbjerg, Anne-Mette Schultz, Dan Stockholm, Tove Storch and Charlotte Thrane.

The program also offers a performance during the bus ride with Kristoffer Akselbo and an introduction to the exhibition site and works by Charlotte Thrane, Dan Stockholm and Marianne Hesselbjerg. The bus journey then continues to Stubbekøbing with a visit to Projekt 4850 and Birgers Herretøj. See the rest of the program below.

VED SKOVEN
Ved Skoven is Falster's new exhibition field established by visual artist Charlotte Thrane on the land around her house. Sammenbrud is the first exhibition in a series of projects that Thrane is curating and organizing during 2024-26.

PROJECT 4850
Project 4850 will establish a business foundation and take over DLG's old grain silos as well as the two halls and the warehouse building on the harbor itself and develop the entire area significantly. The plan is based on the preservation of the two former grain silos and associated buildings on the harbor and the development of the entire area into an art and culture project of international standard that can benefit the entire city.

BIRGERS HERRETØJ
On the main street in Stubbekøbing, artist Danh Vo han has bought a town house, where there once was a store on the ground floor: Birgers Herretøj. Vo continuously works with the architecture and the facade, where he slowly works his way through and with the colors that Birger, owner of the store for 47 years, chose for the different spaces.
