Ida Marie Hede : The As Yet Unrealised Performance II

28 March 2023 07.00 AM - 09.00 AM
Thiemers Magasin Tullinsgade 24, 1618 Copenhagen

For this second talk in the series Ida Marie Hede has invited visual artist Sidsel Meineche Hansen. Hede will begin the evening by reading a short dramatic dialog addressed to at dead object. The following conversation will take Meineche Hansen’s work body as its point of departure and will commence with a short film screening. The animation No Right Way 2 Cum (2015) is a feminist 'cum shot' featuring the avatar EVA v3.0 as its main character. The film is made from computer generated images in a response to the British Media Council banning female ejaculation in British-produced pornography in 2014. Love Doll Resurrect (2019) is a short stop-motion-film. The body of a sex doll resurrects from a transport case, grabs for her head and reattaches it. The film evokes associations to zombie-erotic, colonized, hungry and aggressive bodies, looping in apathy or looking for sexual revenge.
