Since August 2022, pro tempore.art has been working on the exhibition OFFICE OVERLOAD, at the Bikuben Foundation’s temporary office premises in the northwest district of Copenhagen. During the year, they have installed an ever-increasing number of works in the premises in an attempt to investigate when an overload or cocktail effect between the works actually occurs. This Free Lunch will take place at these premises, by which time the installation of OFFICE OVERLOAD will be complete. pro tempore.art invites you to take a look at the exhibition, followed by a conversation about how this curatorial collective is currently evolving. It will be an open discussion about the challenges and opportunities that can arise when trying to transform your creative practice from a passion into a potential source of income.

ABOUT PRO TEMPORE.ART

pro tempore [(pt.) is a Latin expression describing something that happens either temporarily or in the absence of something more permanent]. pro tempore.art is a curatorial collective, founded in 2017 by Anna Clarisse Holck Wæhrens, Isabella Hemmersbach, Julie Koldby and Sia Hurtigkarl Degel. They facilitate encounters between the emerging and the established parts of the art scene, creating exhibitions in the voids that arise between planned exhibitions. pro tempore.art always works on the basis of the following manifesto:

Exhibition between exhibitions. Placing emerging into the established. All exhibitions are a temporary experiment that replaces the actual emptiness with moments of artistic collaborations, new vibrations and themes concerning the artist’s path towards the established.

ABOUT THE MEMBERS:

Anna Clarisse Holck Wæhrens, 30 years old, lives in Copenhagen and is a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy (MA), where she specialised in textile design. Anna is a gallerist and has an artistic practice in her own name.
