Adam Bencard

Adam Bencard is an associate professor in Medical Humanities at the Medical Museion and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen. He has curated several exhibitions at the intersection of science, art, and history, including Mind the Gut (2017) and The World is in You (2021) at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. In his research, he works with metabolism and microbiome research in historical and philosophical perspectives and investigates what it means to be human in the post-genomic era.
