ATT19 (TH)

Gallery

ATT 19 is a unique space for art, culture, and community situated in Charoenkrung, Bangkok’s creative district. Housed in the historic Arthorn Suksa, a Chinese school built over a century ago to serve local children, ATT 19 stands as a testament to the preservation of history and craft. The building was lovingly restored by Pornthep (Lek) Attakanwong, whose vision honored the original teak wood and classic architecture while reimagining the space for contemporary use.

The Attakanwong family has a deep-rooted dedication to the arts and cultural heritage. Since 1975, Pornthep (Lek) and Janya have been central figures in Bangkok’s antique art scene through their work at Lek Gallery Art in Bang Rak. Continuing this legacy, their daughters, Porntip (Mook) and Puntip (Cher), now guide the evolution of ATT 19 as Creative Director and Events and Hospitality Director, respectively.

At ATT 19, Mook, along with her designer partner Teerapoj Teeropas, curates new exhibitions every two months that focus on emerging Thai artists, craft, and design, as well as an annual antique exhibition in honor of Lek Gallery’s legacy. Cher, a trained Le Cordon Bleu chef, runs Mad Beef, a sustainable nose-to-tail fine dining experience that explores secondary cuts with a focus on both sustainability and craftsmanship.

At its core, ATT 19 embodies the Attakanwong family’s ethos of appreciating history, celebrating craft, and exploring the intersections of art and culture.
