Singer & Composer

Program

Katinka Fogh Vindelev is a soprano, performer and composer. Her work is grounded in an extensive voice training, a primary source for exploring new hybrids of compositional and performative territories. She has premiered a string of new works by composers such as Louise Alenius, Niels Rønsholdt, Lil Lacy, Signe Lykke, John Frandsen, Karsten Fundal and Line Tjørnhøj. She recently sang the role of Proserpina in Monteverdi’s opera Orfeus at The Royal Danish Opera with conductor Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Concerto Copenhagen.
Her compositional work revolves around an ongoing interest in bringing professionals and amateurs together in performative works, always with voice as a joined focal point.
