Mook Attakanwong (TH)
Director & curator
Mook Attakanwong holds a Bachelor of Fashion and Textiles from the University of Technology Sydney and a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design and Society from New York’s Parsons New School of Design. After several years in the luxury fashion sector, Mook returned to Thailand to lead her family’s project of restoring the 120-year-old Arthorn Suksa School in Charoen Krung, transforming it into a multidisciplinary retail and gallery space, ATT19.
As Creative Director and co-curator, alongside Pete-Teerapoj Teeropas, Mook is committed to making art a meaningful platform for education. She actively supports emerging, young, and overlooked talents in Thailand. Together, Mook and Pete curate 6-7 shows annually, featuring art, design, craft, and charitable exhibitions. Through her work at ATT19, Mook and her team are known for bridging the gaps between industries and bringing together creative communities. Their approach inspires multidisciplinary activations and collaborations that challenge conventions and spark new outcomes.
Mook’s work also focuses on educating both the audience and new collectors, with a strong emphasis on building the culture of art viewing and appreciation in Thailand. She advocates for secondary art markets and the art of collecting for joy and support, rather than purely for monetary value.
Mook’s contributions have earned her national and international recognition, including being named in Lifestyle Asia’s 50 Icons for Art and Culture, Tatler’s Gen T for Arts, VOGUE’s 100th People, and Prestige 40 Under 40, among other accolades.
