Yang Chia-Hsuan (TW)
Project Manager, Absolute Space AIR
Born in Tainan in 1982, Yang Chia-Hsuan graduated from the Graduate Institute of Art History and Art Criticism at Tainan National University of the Arts. Since 2024, She has served as the Project Manager for the Absolute Space AIR. Previously, she was the executive editor of ACT: Art Critique of Taiwan. From 2012 to early 2018, She managed the independent art space “Howl Space” in Tainan.
Since 2012, She has participated in the publication of books including In the Twilight—Starting from the South: Tainan Art Spaces, 1980-2012 (2012), Moving Wind: Modern Art Exhibitions of South Taiwan, 1986-1997 (2018), and Exhibition in Becoming: Taipei County Art Exhibition and Experimental Art 1992-1997 (2022).
Recent curatorial projects include The Displacing Gaze at Chiayi Art Museum (2022), Material, Landscape, Dust and Light at Hsinchu City Art Gallery (2023), and Exhibition Space Diary: The Dialogue Between Viewer, Caretaker, and Space at Tainan Cultural Center (2024).
