Life with Water

Life With Water brings together anthropologists, artists, biologists, entrepreneurs, engineers, policy-makers, writers, and other experts to discuss, exchange and propose different modes of engaging with water from multiple perspectives.

In the summer of 2019, Art Hub invited more than 30 cross-disciplinary experts to bring their knowledge, practices, and experience into collective work about the future challenges surrounding water. This work discussed and presented issues concerning water as a common resource and human right, a commodity and privilege, an aesthetic, infrastructure, and material connecting all living species on the planet.

Life With Water was originally planned to continue in a second summit in 2020. Due to covid-19 this work was postponed, but is now continuing towards a participation at The World Water Cup in 2021.

ABOUT LIFE WITH WATER SUMMIT I:

The first transdisciplinary international meeting, SUMMIT I, was organized by Jacob Lillemose, Heidi Ballet, and Peter Holme-Jensen. Acting as a testing ground for the creation of an urgent exchange and collaboration around water, SUMMIT I took place in Copenhagen on June 11–12, 2019.
