Program

Aysha Amin (b.1996) is an artist, curator and architect (BA) born and raised in Gellerup, where in 2017 she started the exhibition space Andromeda 8220.

For 10 years she has built an art practice around archival work that spans architecture, art and environment. She examines why and how we live the way we do, from a both-and perspective that encompasses identities, memories and languages, originating from the periphery of the cultural center.

She has been a correspondent for the French architecture magazine The Funambulist and co-curator of the AAFx Aarhus Architecture Festival, as well as a jury member at the Spring Exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg. In addition, she has contributed several photographic essays to architectural publications and is currently a jury member at Realdania Underværker.

Aysha has participated in group exhibitions at Art Hub Copenhagen, Fotografisk Center, Den Frie, Berlin Biennale and Venice Biennale. In 2025, she received the solo prize at the Aarhus Art Prize, for her artistic work and her broad work in Aarhus. In connection with the award, she opened her first solo exhibition at Kunsthal Aarhus in 2026 with the exhibition Making Sense.
