Fafaya Dewornu Mogensen (DK)

Curator

Fafaya Mogensen (b. 1996) is a curator and cultural worker focused on the dynamics of visibility and representation, with an emphasis on feminist and queer practices from the 1970s to today. Her work explores storytelling and how artists experiment with identities and narratives across various media, including performance, film, and installation.

She has curated exhibitions and spoken at venues such as Simian (DK), Nikolaj Kunsthal (DK), Roskilde Festival (DK), Cinemateket (DK), Livity UK (UK), and The Serpentine (UK), with her writings featured in Kunstkritikk, IDOART, Issue Magazine, and Chart Art Journal. Fafaya holds a Bachelor’s in History of Art from the University of Copenhagen and a Master’s from the Courtauld Institute of Art. In 2024, she began studying legal methods and property law at the University of Copenhagen to better support artists and cultural workers in navigating both material and immaterial losses.

From 2023 to 2024, Fafaya was involved as a Project Manager for Art & Research at Art Hub Copenhagen, coordinating research content for public programs and publications.
