Join us for an early drink Thursday, November 19, to meet artists Tora Balslev and Felia Gram-Hanssen who will present and perform their collective piece “Kritisk Zone” (Critical Zone).
With a renegotiating gaze, the artists specifically look at the city’s asphalt and the calcareous soil to approach an understanding of how humans are entangled and connected to a larger organism. In “Kritisk Zone”, the two artist’s practices of movement and sound are intertwined with organic matter respectively. Altogether to create a bodily understanding of our kinship with the non-human.

Please notice, the event is in English.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Felia Gram-Hanssen is a sound artist based in Copenhagen. Her practice consists of performative and installative setups, where she explores translations between sound, image, and movement. Felia’s compositions are driven by curiosity and fascination with how the sounds we surround ourselves with help to provide a more complex picture of the world we live in.
Tora Balslev is a performance artist and works to enter into dialogue with materiality and landscapes through dance and choreography. By placing various of the Earth’s building materials and processes in our consciousness, she animates the body to embody e.g. elements, oil, and electricity. Tora is the Artistic Director of Daily Fiction.
