Culture Night at Thoravej 29

On 15 October 2021, the Culture Night will once again be held in Copenhagen. As part of the Culture Night the exhibition Thoravej 29 will be open during the evening. From 6 pm until 11 pm you can visit the old industrial building on Thoravej in Copenhagen's Northwest quarter and experience 5 floors filled with contemporary art.

During the evening there will be brief introductions to the exhibition by Director of Art Hub Jacob Fabricius. Please note that the introductions will be in Danish.

During Culture Night, you need a Culture Pass to access the exhibition. For more information visit Culture Nights website.

Introductions to the exhibition will be at 7, 8 and 9 pm. (In Danish only)

About the exhibition:

THORAVEJ 29, 5 FLOORS, 5 CURATORS

In 2023, Art Hub Copenhagen will move from its current premises at Halmtorvet in Copenhagen into a newly renovated building at Thoravej 29 in the northwest district of the capital. Before the renovation of the former factory building commences, in collaboration with Bikubenfonden (the owner of the building), Art Hub has given five curators the opportunity to transform each floor into a temporary exhibition space, presenting work by one or more contemporary artists.

The five curators are: Feminist Collective With No Name (FCNN), Institut Funder Bakke, Culture Art Society (CAS), Kristian Vistrup Madsen and Mette Woller.

Works and contributions by the following artists will feature in the exhibition: Jeannette Ehlers, Santiago Mostyn, Nikhill Vettukattil, Jelsen Lee Innocent, Andromeda 8220 v. Aysha Amin, Tolia Astakhishvili, Bamses Billedbog, Karim Boumjimar, Lydia Östberg Diakité, D.N.A., Rochelle Goldberg, Liv Latricia Habel, Mia Edelgart / Sebastian Hedevang, Noah Umur Kanber, Paul McCarthy, Ruby Mariama Laura Andersen Ndoye, Vera Palme, Michala Paludan, Spaghetti Clurb and Young Boy Dancing Group etc.
