Elolo Bosoka (GH)
Artist
Elolo Bosoka (b. 1991) is a Ghanaian visual artist who works and lives between Kumasi and Tefle.
Bosoka has a research-driven and materially sensitive practice centred on exploring the relationship between art and everyday life and on how porous flows can be established among people, spaces, materials, and circuits of exchange. His works evoke the everyday, circulation, and shared conditions of living, and, by foregrounding common materials and gestures, they value a democratised, non-hierarchical approach to art.
Grounded in lived experience and personal encounters as forms of knowledge, Bosoka’s practice unfolds through intuitive, process-led, and materially responsive ways of working.
Elolo Bosoka received his BFA and MFA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in 2015 and 2019, respectively. He is the founder and director of baseprojects and a member of blaxTARLINES KUMASI.
