Andreas Refsgaard is a Danish artist and creative coder based in Copenhagen. He has a background in interaction design, and uses algorithms and machine learning to make unconventional connections between inputs and outputs, which allows people to play music using eye movements, control games by making silly sounds and train algorithms to decide what is funny, funky or boring.
At this event, Andreas will describe how machine learning has become an integrated part of his practice. The talk will include several of his playful interactive projects, artistic projects where algorithms generate texts and images, as well as more recent work, that questions the trust, many people, politicians, and private companies have in artificial intelligence.
By the artist, specially invited conversation partners: Tore Knudsen and Tina Ryoon Andersen.

ABOUT FREE LUNCH SERIES
Art Hub is dedicated to creating contact and interaction among younger artists. Every other Tuesday we invite the art world and public to a free lunch where they can enjoy an informal conversation with a young, professional visual artist. The artist is invited to talk about their practice, current research or new ideas – and to explore the issues that are part of every art practice.
