Nina Nowak (1984) works in Copenhagen, Maastricht, and Germany. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Royal Institute of Fine Art in Stockholm, and at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf where she graduated in 2015. Her work has been shown internationally amongst others at museum kunstpalast Düsseldorf (DE), Galleri Susanne Ottesen Copenhagen (DK), Museum Ostwall (DE), Entrée Bergen (NO).

In her work, Nina is interested in the borderland of animated and supposedly dead matter. She works in different techniques and media such as installations, sculpture, 3D techniques, and graphics.

As part of Art Hub Residency in 2019, Nina examined the interrelations of material matter and processes of transformation. She researched the dynamics of water flow and collaborated with scientist Tomas Bohr from ITU in a talk at RESPOND FESTIVAL 2019.

Art Hub is dedicated to creating contact and interaction among younger artists. Every other Tuesday we invite the art world and public to a free lunch where they can enjoy an informal conversation with a young, professional visual artist. The artist is invited to talk about their practice, current research or new ideas – and to explore the issues that are part of every art practice.
