Morning Session :
Ebbe Stub Wittrup
This fall Art Hub Copenhagen launches Morning Session, a new talk format on artistic research. This series of conversations, which takes place before the working day begins, investigates the research practice and knowledge production of individual contemporary artists.
Our first Morning Session with visual artist Ebbe Stub Wittrup is from 8-9am on Thursday, September 10. Based on the thematic thread “Re-Describing Territories”, Wittrup will discuss his art practice, including his latest solo exhibition “Botanical Drift” at Copenhagen Contemporary.
The conversation will touch on potential rewritings of the territorial, decolonization, botanical resources, the development of identities in time, ownership, plant dyes and a small tree in Charlottenlund. The subject is artistic knowledge production, but also the role artistic research plays in dialogue with research on the same subjects in other disciplines.
The conversation will be in Danish. Host is Marianne Krogh, Artistic Advisor at Art Hub.

ABOUT MORNING SESSION
Morning Sessions is a series of curated early-morning conversations over a cup of coffee. Once a month Art Hub invites a leading artist to use one of the five thematic threads of the program to tell us about their practice and pave the way for a wide-ranging dialogue on artistic research and knowledge creation.
