Art Hub Residency :
Performance & presentation : Liesel Burisch : Rest as Resistance
We warmly invite you to join us for AHC resident Liesel Burisch’s performance and presentation on 2 May at 7:00-9:00PM.
Together with choreographer and dancer Marga Alfeirão (P) and Jesseline Preach/PREACH/Fathoeburger (GH/DE), Liesel Burisch (DK/DE) will present an investigation of the limits of rest in movement. Oftentimes thought as a passive act, rest is here imagined as a collective experience of timelessness. Joy experienced through dance that does not exhaust the mover, but allows them to recover, reconnect and rekindle sensualities within and between the female* body.
On the 2 May, the audience can immerse themselves into this research on a raver bus travelling through Nordhavn. Party busses have in recent years become a commodity, an almost normal part of public space during the weekends. But where party busses are heavily coded, restrictive, and trivial, the raver bus during its prime, managed to subvert public space and invite the passing public into a moving moment of surprise. The evening will center around the preliminary results of the collaboration between Burisch, Alfeirão and Preach.
Please notice that we will meet at Orientkaj Metro station at 6:50. The raver bus will depart at 7:00PM.
