Skitser til værket ‘New York Fern and Rockefeller Center’ af Viktoria Wendel Skousen.

Thursday 6 october Art Hub Copenhagen and SKITSE invites you to join a presentation of the four artists participation in the residency programme Summerworks in July 2022.

At the event we will present sketches by the four Summerworks artists: Benjamin Savi, Viktoria Wendel Skousen, Rebecca Krasnik og Stefan Bakmand as well as by two artists from the programmes at  The Elizabeth Foundation of the Arts, Rhona Bitner and Kosuke Kawahara, who both worked and exhibibted with the Danish artists during the residency.

Benjamin Savi, Stefan Bakmand and Viktoria Wendel Skousen will be present at the event, giving short introductions to their praxis. Curator  Mai Dengsøe, who was also part of Summerwork will also be present.

At the event we will present sketches by Rebecca Krasnik, Viktoria Wendel Skousen, Benjamin Savi, Stefan Bakmand, Rhona Bitner and Kosuke Kawahara.

All sketches is for sale at SKITSE.

Participation is free, no sign up, just come by.

OM SUMMERWORKS

Summerworks is Art Hub Copenahgen’s residency program in New York, founded in partnership with the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA) and the Bikuben Foundation New York.

Every July four young artists and one curator are selected by an external jury to participate in a program that includes accommodation in the Bikubenfoundation’s Academic Guest House on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and studio space at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts’ printmaking workshop in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.

The residency includes a presentation of works by the artist together with artists from  The Elizabeth Foundation of the Arts’ studio program. More on the presentation here.
