Subterranean Wednesday Evening Video Art Club is an initiative begun by a core group of academy graduates, hosted at Sorte Firkant to begin with.
At Art Hub, Subterranean Wednesday Evening Video Art Club invites recently graduated artists to join a crtique group, that would allow for them to continue collective learning processes, a space to share experience, knowledge, and strategies.
The common anchor is time-based practices, but artists working within the broader landscape of video, photography, performance, writing are encouraged to participate too.
The aim of the critique sessions is to create an intimate peer-to-peer learning situation where we trust in our collective intelligence and knowledge; a space of conversation and trust, where unfinished processes, thoughts, and works can be shared, discussed, and encouraged.
Subterranean Wednesday Evening Video Art Club is an artist-only group and each session will include two to three critiques, depending on the interest in the group. In addition, members of the group will have the opportunity to invite guests and host workshops that covers a range of issues relating to the further development of their practices.
Subterranean Wednesday Evening Video Art Club is initiated by Tore Hallas, Lou Mouw, and Fabian Wigren and hosted by Art Hub Copenhagen.
