You are invited to ‘The Playground of the Foundation of the Teacherock’. It is an evening of music and roleplay where you are asked to collaborate in the creation of a set of temporary worlds, a casino of meaning, where the roulette wheel is a vinyl motor. The night acts as series of scenarios, both mundane and fabulous : We get a new job that we immediately get fired from; We start a secret society that we are telling everyone about; We create a delicate biome where destruction is still the mother of creation; We reshape the Bermuda triangle into a new shape; We create Gold together; We walk upon the ice-caps of Neptune; We renegotiate a work conflict through the eyes of our colleagues' children; We envision a perfect utopia so boring that we all go to bed early, it is a school night after all.

The night will hang in this balance between all these things where soundworlds spawn living animalcules that we all take home with us

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION OF THE TEACHEROCK

Foundation of the Teacherock are an experimental artist/musician/DJ duo wassailing from Malmö via Glasgow and Sheffield, John B Mckenna & Francis Patrick Brady, intuiting new worlds and musical experiences through sound and roleplay. Feeding the machines with magical fictions and playful rules, giving life to preformed worlds within worlds.

Foundation of the Teacherock are also a platform/label for projects that operate between play, sound, music and art and organise a radio show called : worlds within worlds : RoleplayRadio. These projects are often created in collaboration betwixt the magical fictions of storytelling, the playful structures of a game, the restless soundscapes of musical improvisation, and the delicate unmentionables of art.
