Experience the artist's methods and working process on close hold when we open the doors for our Workshop format. Arendse Krabbe is the host for the event on Wednesday November, 11.
Arendse Krabbe is a visual artist, working both with video, sound, performance, collective readings and listening sessions. For this Workshop event, Krabbe will take you on a sound walk to Amager Fælled (Amager Common), where we in silence will listen to the place and bring our experiences back to Art Hub to share and talk them over a cup of tea. At the end of the event, Krabbe will guide you through a collective listening ceremony.
For the last few years Arendse Krabbe’s practice has evolved around listening to the voices of others and collectives. She is part of the radio collective The Bridge Radio, where people with and without citizenship collectively produce radio based on their connected experiences in the Danish asylum system.
Arendse Krabbe believes that listening is a tool to develop a sensibility which can create new and other collectives across ethnicity, species, systems, and borders. At Art Hubs Workshop you will gain a lived and bodily experience to Krabbe’s listening methods and take part in creating new collectives.

The event is in Danish and you are requested to bring your own bike for the expedition to Amager Fælled.
Due to Covid-19, only a limited number of seats are provided. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
Art Hub will be serving snacks and drinks during the event.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Arendse Krabbe lives and works in Copenhagen. She has a BA in Art History from the University of Copenhagen and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths University, London, and an MFA from The Royal Danish Art Academy from 2014.
Since 2006 Arendse Krabbe has collaborated with people living in asylum camps as well as people living outside the camps to create connections and discussions between people and to formulate and rethink normative structures, also rethinking and situating her own position as a privileged white visual artist. Krabbe is part of the self-organized radio collective “The Bridge Radio”.
ABOUT WORKSHOPS
At Art Hub’s Workshops we invite an artist or art group to develop and hold a workshop that is open to the public and gives participants the opportunity to experience artists’ methodology and working process – a good way to experience the diverse ways different contemporary artists work live. Art Hub workshops can be held on our own premises, in the artist’s studio, in the city or forest, on the beach, or somewhere else entirely.
