Art Pod with Mathias Kryger #15

It may not exactly be groundbreaking. But a new report shows that there is a need for a special effort to create space for artists in the city. And the report is a first tool in the work to realize studios and new homes specifically for visual artists.

It is the Architects’ Association, BKF, UKK, Bikuben Foundation, and Dreyer’s Foundation that stand behind what they call a preliminary study, and if one reads it, one will see that this year marks 70 years since someone last built housing with the intention of accommodating artists. Is it time for some new initiatives? And why this special treatment for artists?

Architect and director of the Architects’ Association Lars Autrup is a guest on Art Pod with Mathias Kryger.
