In the name of anti-productivity, Art Hub invited the public for a sleepy workshop by visual artist Mia Edelgart and writer Hannah Lutz on November 26, 2020.

They read aloud from various texts while the audiences lay down and listened. Right here, you can listen to the readings (in Danish).

All texts touch upon the subject of sleep in a broad sense, moving through genres, time, across species and borders, creating a web of various life and lifeforms that all share the urgent need to rest.

You hear excerpts from following texts:

E. R. Root: The ABC and XYZ of Bee Culture, 1978
A. Roger Ekirch: Segmented Sleep, article, 2013
Bernadette Mayer: Ethics of sleep, 2011
Margaret Thatcher: Citat, “Sleep is for wimps!”
Ocean Vuong: On earth we are briefly gorgeous, 2019
Rolf Sparre Johansson: Søvn, 2015
Carl Von Linné: Planternes søvn, 1753
