Amalie Sejersdahl (DK)
Artist
Amalie Sejersdahl (b. 1990) works with creating experiences and communities within art and culture. Inspired by performance art, she develops site-specific experiences using a sensuous approach and a variety of media. With listening as a presence and an integrated practice in these arrangements, Amalie explores how its manifestation can enable a different encounter with space, time, body, nature and each other. Her work includes art communication, facilitation and organization of creative and artistic processes, as well as co-creation processes. Amalie has organized and led projects at festivals and different institutions around Copenhagen and curated exhibitions and events at Bladr, a platform dedicated to artist books.
She holds a master in Performance Design from Roskilde University, and has studied fine art and photography at University of Lapland (FI) and at Fatamorgana, The Danish School of Art Photography.
