Derek Baron is a composer, writer, and sound artist based in New York City. They have released solo and ensemble music with Recital, Penultimate Press, OtoRoku, and other labels. They also run Reading Group, a record label for new and archival music and audio. Collaborative projects include Cop Tears, the amateur chamber ensemble, and Permanent Six Flags, a music+writing duo with Emily Martin.
