Ellen Martine Heuser ^(DK)

Ellen Martine Heuser is a sculptor and art theorist. A graduate of HFBK University of Fine Arts Hamburg, from the Department of Sculpture (MFA, 2018) and the Department of Theory & History (MFA, 2023). Interested in the field of tension between memorials of prehistory and contemporary sculpture, her practice touches on construction and architecture emerging from ideas of civilization. Heuser’s artistic method is process-oriented. A bodily re-writing of nouns denoting commemorative practice and architecture with sacred associations. She works with sculpture, earthworks, sound, drawing and text.
