Emma Giovanna Vitale (b. 1993) is a PhD fellow in Arctic archaeology affiliated with Ilisimatusarfik (University of Greenland), Nunatta Katersugaasivia Allagaateqarfialu (National Museum and Archives of Greenland), the National Museum of Denmark, and the Globe Institute (University of Copenhagen).

Her research focuses on Greenlandic dog sledding practices, including the origins of the dog sled complex and its associated material culture. She investigates how prehistoric Arctic communities utilized domesticated dogs and how this relationship is reflected in archaeological and ethnographic evidence. Her work includes fieldwork and the communication of Arctic cultural heritage.
