Jules Fischer is a visual artist working with large-scale performances. Their work has an ambivalent and collage-like character. Through poetic and conceptual ingenuity Jules strives to create work that is both political, moving and experimental. For Jules the “main show in town” is our feelings and inner lives. At the moment their research is mainly inspired and fascinated by intimacy issues, our closest relations and destructive emotional patterns. Jules works between art fields and always in many different collaborations.
Jules Fischer is educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017 and has also studied Dance and Choreography at The National School of Performing Arts as well as in Art and Social Practice in Portland State University.
Jules has shown their work at various art institutions, such as Glyptoteket, SMK and Arken. Their most recent solo show was at Unge Kunstneres Samfund in Oslo. In 2023 received a 3 years working grant from The Danish Arts Foundation.
