Program

Karen Nhea Nielsen (b.1990) is a visual artist and performer, who works with stagings of emotions and desires. She uses her own body, voice and experiences to expose herself in the meeting with the spectator. Her practice is based on a desire to play with the volatility of materials, like a ball able to roll away or a sentence that is uttered only to exist (again) I those who heard it. Like an impulse constantly changing direction. Her works contain ambiguities and humor and creates space for the process.

Karen Nhea Nielsen graduated from the Royal Danish Art Academy in 2019. She often works in artistic collaborations and thus tries to understand the individual’s relationship to communities, the ambivalent relationships we have with institutions, processes and each other.
