Katinka Fogh Vindelev (DK)

Soprano and composer

Program

Katinka Fogh Vindelev is a Danish classically trained soprano, performer and composer. Her work is grounded in extensive vocal exploration as a primary source for exploring new hybrids of compositional and performative territories. Katinka is one of the main forces behind the ground-breaking music collective We like We and a frequent collaborator to artists such as Jacob Kirkegaard and Marie Kølbæk Iversen.

She works at the intersection between different musical traditions and disciplines, and between the performative and visual arts. As a soloist, she has premiered Liebestod—an opera:tion at the Royal Danish Theatre with Sofia Jernberg, Lil Lacy’s One World Above another below, Liv Helm and Mathilde Böcher’s Messias i Nat, just as she composed and performed the chamber opera Moonologue, which was produced in collaboration with Marie Kølbæk Iversen as a commission by the Louisiana Museum for the exhibition The Moon.
