Louise Vind Nielsen (DK)

Artist

Louise Vind Nielsen (DK, 1984) investigates the scope of psychology and complex themes, often with a humorous and social approach. Focusing on sound and listening, she moves freely between the disciplines; sound art, installation, music, performance, film, text and mythology.

Her artistic work often goes beyond the exhibition format. ”Inde i mit hoved, så er den mørkerød” (2019) – a film about inner voices – which, despite its artistic format, is still used by the voice listeners she worked with.

Louise Vind Nielsen is based in Hamburg. She is educated at the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts (2008-13) and the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg (2011-12).

Vind Nielsen was behind the project “Radikal Unsichtbar – Center for Collective Learning and Radical Listening” (2015-2020) in Hamburg and has, among other things, exhibited at the Seanaps Festival in Leipzig (2020), Tørskind Grusgrav / Vejle Art Museum (2022), Museum Ovartaci in Aarhus (2019) and most recently at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde (2023).
