Anna Cornelia Ploug (DK)

Philosopher and critic

Anna Cornelia Ploug (DK) is a philosopher and critic with a background in classical European philosophy and contemporary political theory. She has an interest in critical thinking and interdisciplinary knowledge production, teaches the theory of science at Roskilde University, and is writing a Ph.D. on how philosophy can become concrete.

Among other things, she has published on GWF Hegel and dialectical thinking (Dialectics, Mindspace 2022), canon criticism (The History of Gender Ideas, Background 2020), and Simone de Beauvoir’s philosophy (Battlefield, 2021), which she also lectures on.

Anna Cornelia is a host on THORAVEJ29’s future philosophical format Prism and curated the Female Thinkers and the Political talk+film series at Cinemateket in connection with the Golden Days festival, which received the award for “Philosophical Initiative of the Year 2022” from the Danish Society for Philosophical Practice.

She is also the idea and society editor at Eftertryk Magazine and a reviewer for Dagbladet Information.
