Jacob Kirkegaard ^(DK)

Jacob Kirkegaard is an artist and composer living in Denmark. He graduated from the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne in 2006. In his practice, he examines the sonic potential of various environments including subterranean hot springs, the formations of glaciers and global waste systems.

Kirkegaard’s works relate to the notion that everything contains sound. In a combination of scientific examinations and artistic staging, he demonstrates how sound is often given a low priority in the modern visual world.
